Welcome to Safer For Baby (SFB or SaferForBaby.com), a baby safety platform that curates expert guides on baby safety topics and products to keep your baby safe. Formerly named MotherhoodHQ.com, SFB is an online resource dedicated to providing valuable information on baby safety products for home, travel, and sleep.
In 2019, as news stories of baby monitors being hacked made headlines, we became acutely aware of a significant gap in the market. Filled with concern for the safety of our own children, we wondered if the monitors we already owned were vulnerable.
Realizing that many parents were also grappling with the complexities of navigating the ever-changing landscape of baby safety products in the tech world, we started this site, focused solely on baby safety gear. Our mission is to provide a platform that offers peace of mind and empowers parents to make informed choices when it comes to protecting their little ones.
If you’re considering a smart nursery or integrating smart home technology and have concerns about its safety for your little one, our comprehensive guides on Wi-Fi safety, EMF radiation, anti-hacking measures, and more will greatly assist in making you feel at ease.
Main Categories of Topics We Cover:
We have categorized baby safety products on this website into three main categories: Baby Safety Products for Home, Baby Travel Safety Products, and Safe Sleep Products for Babies.
Home safety products cover topics such as monitoring tech and childproofing and mobility products cover topics such as child restraint systems and babywearing.
Safe sleep products cover topics such as AAP’s safe sleep guidelines, unsafe incline sleep products, and recommended sleep products, among other safety topics.
MotherhoodHQ.com Is Now Part of SaferForBaby.com
In December 2023, MotherhoodHQ.com became part of SaferForBaby.com, seamlessly integrating the content from the motherhoodhq.com site into the Safer For Baby platform. This merger increased the number of experienced moms with expertise in baby safety and who share a common goal: to provide parents with reliable information on baby safety products, empowering them to make informed choices.
Throughout this website, you may come across our name, “Safer For Baby,” presented in different formats such as “SaferForBaby,” “Saferforbaby.com,” “Safer4Baby,” or the abbreviated form “SFB.” Please be aware of these variations and rest assured that they all refer to the same entity. We hope this clarification helps to avoid any confusion.

How We Got Started:
As young mothers and caregivers, we have a profound passion for the intersection of technology and parenting. Our interest in this field was sparked by the alarming stories of baby monitor hacking incidents in 2019. Being tech-savvy Gen Z individuals, we immersed ourselves in extensive research on the safety of baby monitors. This involved exploring topics such as encryption standards, keys, app security, and more.
As parents, we understand the importance of ensuring the safety and well-being of our children. That’s why at SaferForBaby, we make it our mission to provide parents with reliable and unbiased information on various parenting topics, including technology and its impact on raising children.
We believe that technology can greatly benefit parents in their daily lives, but it is also important to educate ourselves on how to use it responsibly and securely. This is especially true when it comes to baby monitors, which are meant to keep our little ones safe.
